Every combination of symmetry, rings and pattern makes a different mandala. Press “New pattern” until one catches your eye.

How it works

Three steps, one printable

1

Set the shape

Symmetry decides how many times the pattern repeats; rings decide how much detail there is.

2

Shuffle for a pattern

Each press picks new motifs for each ring. Keep going until one feels right.

3

Print it

Choose the line weight to match crayons, pencils or fineliners, and download the PDF.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Printing tips live in our guide on printing at home without wasting paper.

How many different mandalas can it make?

Effectively endless. Each pattern comes from a random seed combined with the symmetry, ring count and style you pick, so pressing "New pattern" keeps producing designs nobody has printed before.

Which settings suit children?

Fewer rings (two or three), a lower symmetry like six or eight, and the bold line weight. That gives big open shapes that a crayon can actually stay inside.

And for adults?

Six to eight rings, 16 or 20-fold symmetry and the fine line weight give the dense, meditative sort of page that fineliners were made for.

Will the lines look sharp when printed?

Yes. The PDF stores the mandala as vectors rather than pixels, so it stays crisp at any size and the file is only a few kilobytes.

Can I sell what I make?

The patterns are generated by your own browser from geometry, so what comes out is yours to use, including commercially. A credit is appreciated but not required.
