Meet Our New Woodland and Farm Animal Coloring Pages
Explore ten woodland and ten farm animal printables, from easy foxes, rabbits and piglets to detailed forest and meadow scenes.

Our free library has two new collections on October 3: woodland animals and farm animals. Each begins with a bold, simple picture and builds toward a fuller scene. We also added new sheets to cats, dogs, butterflies and unicorns, so children can try a new subject or find something fresh in a favorite collection.
Update: both collections now contain ten original pictures. The woodland expansion adds a rabbit, squirrel, bear cub, hedgehog, deer by a stream, fox den and forest pond. The farm expansion adds a piglet, lamb, duckling, goat, horse with a foal, duck pond and farm meadow. The first three pictures below still make a useful starting point, with seven more choices on each collection page.
Start with three woodland pictures
Start with the woodland animal coloring pages. The fox cub sits beside two broad leaves, with plenty of space for coloring its body and tail. The owl on an oak branch adds feather outlines, leaves and acorns. The forest clearing brings a deer, rabbit and squirrel together with trees, mushrooms and a winding path.
For a short session, choose the fox and a few crayons. If your child likes spotting details, try the clearing and name the animals before starting. Natural colors are one option; a purple deer and blue leaves work just as well for a made-up forest story.
A small visit to the farm
The farm animal collection starts with a calf beside a flower. Its coat patches are outlined, so children can fill them with any colors they choose. The hen and three chicks add a fence and sunflower. The barnyard scene gives a sheep, pig and duck a home beside a barn, hay bales and a water trough.
Use the pages for a little animal conversation: count the chicks, name the barnyard friends and try a sound for each animal. Children who enjoy drawing can add something inside the barn or invent another animal visiting the yard. There is no need to finish all three pages in one sitting.
New sheets in four familiar collections
- Cats: a kitten playing with a ball of yarn, with bold outlines and minimal fur detail.
- Dogs: a puppy in a garden beside a watering can, daisies and a ball.
- Butterflies: a patterned butterfly above two sunflowers, ready for repeated wing colors.
- Unicorns: a friendly unicorn in a flower meadow with a flowing mane and roomy clouds.
All of today’s illustrations use original animal, nature or fantasy subjects. The new pictures are single scenes with black outlines, white coloring spaces and print margins. Choose based on the shapes your child enjoys rather than a strict age label: some children prefer one large animal, while others want a whole setting.
Pair the animals with yesterday’s seasonal additions
The October 2 seasonal release added autumn leaves, harvest pumpkins and winter scenes. Put a woodland animal beside an autumn sheet, or combine the barnyard with a pumpkin page. These pairings can become a two-page story: where does the animal go next, and what does it find?
Every sheet is free to print or download without signup. Open a collection for the full-size PNG and Print button, or choose several pictures in the coloring book maker for one PDF. Start with a small selection so children have a clear choice and room to make the activity their own.
